The next stage

How we help
your founders hire

A founder can have a strong network and still struggle to find the person a critical moment requires.

We help your portfolio companies define the role, find relevant people, and understand what would make them join. Your introduction starts the relationship. We take the search forward with the founders.

Explore Our Approach

Define the role

Define what needs to change, which decisions the hire will own, and the experience that will matter at this stage.

Understand each candidate

Examine what they’ve built and what would make them move. Give founders a clear reason behind each recommendation.

Turn candidate interest into a hire

Help the team address the candidate’s priorities, clarify the opportunity, and resolve concerns before the offer.

Harrison Clarke

You bring the portfolio context. We bring the research and the relationships to help founders make the right hire.

  1. Share your hiring priorities

Tell us about your firm, the companies you back, and where founders need support. We can start with an immediate hire or a conversation about what’s ahead.

  2. Connect with the founders

Together, we identify where our team can help. We work directly with the startup to define what a hire needs to achieve, the experience required, and the support they’ll have.

  3. Help them make the hire

Our systems identify relevant candidates. We look closely at what they’ve built and what would make them move, then help founders turn those conversations into a hire.

Frequently
asked questions

How we work with your team and the companies you back.

Who is Portfolio Company Support for?

It’s for venture capital partners, platform teams, and portfolio talent teams who want a research and recruiting partner for the startups they back. We work alongside your team and directly with founders.

Can we work with you across our portfolio?

Yes. We can support individual companies as hiring needs arise and build a working relationship with your investment, platform, or talent team. Each search starts with what that company needs to achieve.

Do we need a company ready to hire?

No. We can start by understanding your portfolio and the challenges founders are working through. When a hiring need takes shape, we can connect with the company and define the next step together.

What kinds of hires can you support?

We recruit across Infrastructure; Software & Product; AI, Data & Research; and Go-to-Market. The starting point is the work the company needs done, from a critical individual hire to building out a team.

How do you work alongside our portfolio talent team?

Your team brings the portfolio context and makes the introduction. We work with the startup on its brief, candidate research, and hiring conversations. At the start, we agree with the company on how your team should be involved and what updates are useful.

What should we include in an introduction?

Your firm’s name and a little context about where you’d like support are enough to start. If you have a specific company in mind, share its name, a founder or hiring contact, and the milestone ahead.
